The other night, I was fascinated by the series FutureCar. (First Episode: The Extremes – and boy, are they!)
Of course, predictions of the future are almost always way off-the-mark – since people tend to make predictions based on things they already know and existing “cool, new” technology. For example, based in predictions from back in the 50s – I, my husband…AND my dog should all have individual jet packs; our house would have a mini atomic power plant; and I’d be zipping to work in a flying car. Instead, we drive a Honda Civic, the dog gets around on four paws, and the only zipping I do is when the freeway traffic allows me to get all the way up to 65 mph.
It’s still fun to dream – and you can also vote on the best Future Car design (one each by 12 interns at GM.)
